Mike Maddux


Mike is married.....wifes name is Lise.....the couple has two daughters: Makayla and Lexie...Graduated from Rancho (NV) High School in 1979 Attended the University of Texas-El Paso, where he played baseball for three years...Is the brother of pitcher Greg Maddux...Is an avid hunter, golfer and fisherman...Enjoys going to Marquette University basketball games and University of Wisconsin football games...Nickname is "Mad Dog."

Mike begins his fifth season as Brewers pitching coach...Prior to joining the Brewers was the pitching coach at Double-A Round Rock in the Astros organization from the latter half of the 2000 season through 2002...Helped lead Round Rock to the 2000 Texas League Championship as the staff ranked second in the league with a 4.11 ERA.

Mike played 15 seasons in the majors with Philadelphia (1986-89), Los Angeles (1990, 99), San Diego (1991-92), New York-NL (1993-94), Pittsburgh (1995), Boston (1995-96), Seattle (1997), Montreal (1998-99) and Houston (2000)...Went 39-37 with a 4.05 ERA and 20 saves in 472 games, making 424 of his appearances in relief...Appeared in the playoffs with Boston in 1995, tossing 3.0 shutout innings in 2 games against Cleveland in the American League Division Series.
